The ultimate rich and indulgent treat can be summed up in three words – S’mores Chocolate Spoons! Melted milk chocolate is topped with classic s'mores ingredients like marshmallows, cookies, and graham crackers. Stir a cup of hot chocolate with one of these spoons while watching your favourite holiday movie! They make a great gift idea too!
Before you start, line up 12 tablespoons on a baking sheet so that the handle of the spoon is resting on the rim of the baking sheet. This will level out the spoon so that the melted chocolate will not spill out. To keep the spoons from moving about too much, line the baking sheet with a silicone baking mat. Place the prepared baking sheet, complete with the tablespoons, in your freezer to chill. A cold baking sheet and spoons will prevent the melted chocolate from spreading out too much.
Place the milk chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium power in 30-second intervals, stirring well with a rubber spatula between each interval until the chocolate is creamy and smooth.
Remove the baking sheet with the spoons from the freezer and working with one spoon at a time, dip it into the melted chocolate. Be sure to fully submerge and coat the spoon well on both sides. Drip off the excess chocolate back into the bowl and set the spoon back onto the baking sheet, being sure to keep the handle of the spoon raised on the rim as before.
Once all of the spoons have been dipped into the melted chocolate, it’s time to fill the spoons. Using a teaspoon, fill each tablespoon with the remaining chocolate. Don’t overfill them; you don’t want the chocolate to run over the sides. Keep them neat and tidy.
Once the spoons are filled, immediately sprinkle over the marshmallow bits, crushed cookies, and crumbled graham crackers. Set aside to set.
Next, using the same melting technique as before, melt the white chocolate and transfer it to a resealable bag. Cut a small tip from one lower corner and use the bag to gently squeeze out the melted white chocolate creating a zig-zag pattern over each spoon.
Transfer the baking sheet to the fridge to set the chocolate for one hour.
Once set, wrap individually in cellophane and tie at the base with a festive ribbon.
