Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies are a chocolate lover's dream come true! These cookies are loaded with chocolate chips, heavily flavoured with really good cocoa, and a few oats thrown in for texture and good measure! Get ready to indulge!

milk chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and both sugars together for 2-3 minutes or until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs and vanilla; mix until completely combined.
Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and beat until combined.
Use a wooden spoon or spatula to stir in the oats and one cup of the chocolate chips.
Using a small ice-cream scoop, (about 1 1/2 tablespoons) position the mounds of cookie dough two inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Gently press a few chocolate chips into the top of the mounds of cookie dough. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool for two minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
