Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a silicone liner and set aside. Pour sprinkles into small, shallow bowl.
In a mixing bowl, use a hand-held mixer to cream the butter for one to two minutes.
Add the sugar and incorporate into the butter until creamy.
Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk. With the mixer on medium speed, beat the ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture.
Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Beat into the mixture until well incorporated.
Scoop the dough out into slightly heaping teaspoons. Roll dough into balls and immediately roll into sprinkles.
Place on prepared baking sheet, at least 2 inches apart. Bake for exactly 12 minutes. Remove from oven and leave to cool for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack to finish cooling.
Store in food-safe container. Can be frozen. Will last up to one week at room temperature.
