1/2cupbarbecue sauce
1/4cuppeach preserves
1/2teaspoonground black pepper
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1/2teaspoononion powder
Instructions
Begin by preheating your oven to 400 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking pan with two layers of aluminum foil.
Pat the ham steaks dry with paper towels. Place them in a single layer onto the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 15 minutes.
In the meantime, measure the sauce ingredients (barbecue sauce, peach preserves, ground black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder) into a bowl and whisk to combine.
After the 15 minutes are up, remove the baking pan from the oven and turn the ham steaks over. Baste the steaks with a third of the sauce.
Return them to the oven and bake for 10 more minutes. Once again, remove them from the oven and flip the steaks. Baste with another third of the sauce and bake for another 10 minutes.
Flip and baste once more, baking for the final 10 minutes.
Remove the ham steaks from the oven one last time; plate, garnish, and enjoy!
