Everyone has a preference when it comes to dips and here are 3 dips that will please every palate! There’s a smoky dip, and a spicy dip, and of course, a sweet dip too! All easy, all no-bake, and all made with cream cheese!

Have you ever tried Martin’s Apple Chips? Well, if you haven’t, you should! I spent my early adult years not far from the Martin family farm, so I’ve had the privilege of eating my fair share of Martin-grown apples! In addition to the apple chips, their whole, fresh apples are the best you can find!
Martin’s Apple Chips are simply divine. Yes, they taste just like an apple, but when you eat them, you get something from them that you wouldn’t get from a fresh apple. You get that crispy-crunch factor that we all love in a good chip!
I like to eat them the same way you would a bag of chips. They’re a great snacking alternative that makes you feel like you’re indulging, but you’re not, because they are just 100% apples – nothing else!
Speaking of 100% apples, if you ever find yourself in the St. Jacob’s area, seek out Martin’s farm! You can find the location, market hours, and so much more information by visiting the Martin’s Apples website.
By the way, Dear Reader, if you’re looking for kid-friendly snacks, then look no further. Martin’s Apple Chips make a great lunchbox option for your kids, or an after school snack. Kids love them, and they’re not only conveniently packaged, they’re healthy too.
Martin’s Apple Chips can be found almost anywhere you shop for food items. Costco carries the large bags, which are great if you’re planning a party. Pile the apple chips into a large bowl and place these 3 cream cheese dips around the bowl. Your party guests will gobble it up!
Most grocery stores, such as Sobey’s or Farm Boy, stocks Martin’s Apple Chips as well. I’ve also purchased them at Winners and the Bulk Barn. Oh, and you can easily find them at Starbucks too. This time of year, apple chips would pair very nicely with your pumpkin spice latte! Try the cinnamon flavour apple chips or the caramel drizzle; heaven!
Now, Dear Reader, in typical Lord Byron fashion, if there is a way to make comfort food even more comforting, you know I’m going to find a way to do it!
A long, long time ago, I was introduced to what would one day become one of my favourite ways to eat an apple – with cheese. Yes, cheese – just plain old cheddar cheese.
So, it made perfect sense to me to pair Martin’s Apple Chips with cheese dip. But, I couldn’t decide on just one dip, so I prepared 3!
I’ve told many stories over the years about how I have to do things in 3 for the Thomas-Ewing household, because the three of us have such different tastes; dips are no exception. There was just one problem; these dips were loved by all three of us! (I guess that’s a good problem, isn’t it!?)
I was sure that the apple chips would pair very well with the Caramel Chocolate Chips Toffee Dip, and I also trusted my foodie instinct when I prepared the Southern Smoky Cheese Dip. The Spicy Jalapeno Fire Roasted Chili Cheese Dip was a complete surprise, however! Even John.e loved that you and you know how he feels about spicy food!
The combination of the fresh jalapenos and the canned fire roasted green chilies was sure to scare off John.e and McKenna – or at least I thought! I was wrong; that particular dip seemed to be the favourite.
You see, apple chips are sweet so they can be paired really well with cheese, especially when that cheese is whipped with some other smoky and spicy ingredients. The sweet apples and the spicy jalapenos work extremely well together and balance each other out.
The sweetness of the apple chips also pairs quite well with the smokiness of the paprika and the deep southern flavours of the Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, cheddar cheese, and of course, roasted red peppers.
Now, I ask you, who doesn’t love a good dip? We love all kinds of dips here in our household, but we seem to be more prone to preparing dips that are cream cheese-based. Hot or cold, cream cheese dips are the best option.
Cream cheese is a perfect vehicle for carrying other flavours without completely overtaking the dish you’re preparing. That is why I used cream cheese in these dips, and I made 3 dips to show you just how versatile cream cheese can be when paired with a crispy and crunchy apple chip.
Well, let’s get to the recipes. You will note that there are 3 recipe cards below, so you can find the dip that speaks to you, or you can print all three!
