This collection of 15 Halloween Cookies and Treats has something for everyone! Whether you are a die-hard Halloween fan or just someone who really loves fall, pumpkins, and delicious food, there is bound to be a fun and festive sweet treat in the collection that you will love sinking your teeth into!

Let me just get real honest with you for a minute here. I’m not a fan of Halloween at all. There, I said it! In fact, I don’t understand why Halloween is even referred to as a holiday by some people. It’s not a stat holiday. You don’t get the day off from work. And, there’s no time and a half pay for those of us who have to work on that day. In fact, Halloween creates even more work, especially if you’re a parent. So, I’m putting together this collection of 15 Halloween Cookies and Treats with not only kids in mind, but adults too!
My daughter loves Halloween. In fact, she has often said that she loves Halloween more than she loves Christmas. Clearly, I’m not the father, or I have gone terribly wrong somewhere in raising her the way a child should be raised! I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with Halloween or the celebrating of it, but she comes from a long line of hardcore Christmas enthusiasts. It’s in her blood! But, no matter how much I try to argue that Christmas is better, I can’t convince her otherwise.
Every year, I try to publish a recipe or two for each occasion and Halloween is no exception. This year, I published four new Halloween-inspired recipes, but I don’t want to forget about the recipes from Halloweens past, so I put together some of my favourite recipes from previous years. 15 Halloween Cookies and Treats are here, so break out your orange and black bakeware and whip up something fun and festive for yourself or your family!
WHO DECIDED TO CALL HALLOWEEN A HOLIDAY?
If you’re new to Lord Byron’s Kitchen, it’s important that you know this one thing about me – I love Christmas! It’s true; I talk about Christmas all the time. In fact, I was baking Christmas recipes weeks before I started working on Halloween recipes! In our home, it’s a battle. As much as I love Christmas, my daughter, McKenna, loves Halloween. She says it’s her favourite holiday.
Okay, let’s get this straight – Halloween is not a holiday! A holiday is defined as a day of celebration or festivity when no work is completed. I don’t know about you, but I have never gotten the day off work for Halloween! Christmas, on the other hand, is clearly a holiday! (Take that, McKenna!)
Now, in recent years, I’ve started to get a little bit into Halloween. I think when we bought our house and had a front porch and garden to decorate played a bit into changing my feelings. And, McKenna insists on dragging John.e and I off to her favourite store, Spirit of Halloween, every year. But, when it all boils down, Halloween takes up valuable space for Christmas decorations on store shelves! (She’s going to text me as soon as she reads this!) Anyway, let’s get to my 15 Halloween Cookies and Treats collection!

LET’S START WITH THE TREATS FIRST
Some of these might be classified as cookies or cakes in your home, but in ours, they’re called treats. I have six Halloween-themed treats that I want to share with you here. Have a look!

LET’S TALK COOKIES!
I’m a huge fan of baking cookies. Not only do I find it extremely relaxing, but it’s rewarding too! At the time of writing this up, there are over 1000 recipes here at Lord Byron’s Kitchen. I would guess that about 200 of them are cookies! So, it shouldn’t be too difficult for me to gather a few of them to share with you in this 15 Halloween Cookies and Treats collection!

CAN WE CALL THESE HALLOWEEN RELATED?
I really want to include the next three cookies in this collection, even though they might not necessarily be Halloween enough to be considered Halloween cookies. They certainly remind me of fall, so I’ll let you be the judge. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!

THAT’S ALL FOLKS!
So now that you have a bunch of Halloween-themed, orange, brown, purple, etc., recipes in your keep, what do you plan to do with them? Will you bake some cookies and share them with your favourite workmates or neighbours? Will you make that candy corn and package it up for your trick-or-treaters? Or, will you whip yourself up a special treat, turn off all the lights, lock the door, and watch a Stephen King movie?
Whatever you do, the point is, these are some really great recipes, so I do hope that you try one or two. And, whether you don’t care that much for Halloween like me, or if you have someone special in your life who just adores it, just have fun with it and go with the flow. Sometimes, you just have to make your own fun, right!? And, in my life, food and fun is always a good thing! Happy Halloween, Dear Reader!
